Mr. Augustine Esamoah, A Business Development Manager at TIAST Group, has intimated that agricultural industrialization is the best solution to the agricultural problems in Ghana.

This is for the reason that several developed countries like China, Thailand, and USA amongst others have leveraged it to transform their agricultural sector as well as generate billions of dollars annually.

This, he further stated, can translate into an increase in the economy of the country by creating jobs for technicians, engineers and experts running factories. He added that the realization of such an initiative can make available fully automated processing lines and farm tools, spare parts for processing lines, easily accessible farm tools, and a reliably quick maintenance services for processing lines.

He made these remarks while addressing participants of 6th Agricultural Industrialization Conference on Wednesday, 29th September 2021 in Takoradi under the theme, u201cFinancial and Technological Support for Agricultural Processingu201d.

Mr. Esamoah underscored that although successive governments since independence, cooperatives and individuals, had tried industrializing the agricultural sector by setting up processing factories, most especially, to add value to the raw materials grown in the country, generate employment for citizens as well as revenue for the country, the sector had faced various technology and technical setbacks.

However, he was quick to admit that the agricultural sector of the country can generate $30 billion annually if stakeholders can easily get access to highly efficient processing lines and farm tools.
